Therefore, microHEALTH also provides coverage for routine doctor visits aimed at diagnosing and managing common acute outpatient illnesses, ensuring timely medical attention and recovery. microHEALTH ensures that you receive the medical attention you need for common acute illness visits to your primary care doctor without worrying about costs. Below is a summary of what is covered with BIG’s microHEALTH for routine outpatient visits and should serve as a reference for both health subscription members and medical providers to understand the scope of coverage.
Routine/Preventative Health Visit

Common Acute Illnesses Covered under microHEALTH
Subscription members are eligible for private primary care doctor visits related to the following common acute conditions:
- Respiratory Infections including colds, flu, bronchitis, and sinusitis
- Musculoskeletal Pain, including back pain, joint pain, sprains, and muscle strains
- Gastrointestinal Issues, including abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting
- Infections including urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin infections, and ear infections
- Allergies and Asthma including acute allergy symptoms, and asthma flare-ups
- Minor Injuries, including wound care for minor cuts, burns, fractures, and sprains

How to Schedule Your Visit?
Health Subscription Members are encouraged to schedule their annual physical exam every year. This ensures that your overall health is regularly monitored, helping you avoid premature complications and/or death from treatable and preventable diseases. To schedule your visit:
- Contact your preferred in-network dentist directly.
- Present your BIG Subscription Card information along with secondary identification at the time of your appointment.
- Remember that these routine visits are fully covered, with no out-of-pocket costs.

How to Submit Your Claims?
Please submit all claims with the appropriate diagnostic codes based on the patient’s symptoms and the treatment provided. All routine examinations, tests, and referrals must align with the covered conditions listed above. The process is straightforward:
- Log into the BIG provider portal.
- Select the relevant patient details and plan.
- Submit the billing code for the services provided.
- Upload any required supporting documentation (e.g., exam results, treatment notes).
- Claims are processed and reviewed within 72-hours, ensuring quick reimbursement.
